Houston man arrested in Tyler County drug, firearm, and money laundering case

On August 12th, 2025, at approximately 4:30 pm, Tyler County Sheriff’s Deputies, the Tyler County District Attorney’s Office, and the Texas Department of Public Safety were conducting a joint-operation on the East and Southeast side of the county.
Officers stopped a silver Chevrolet Impala on highway 190, near Dam-B for a traffic violation. Officers identified the driver as Christopher Taylor, age 45 of Houston.
While speaking with Taylor, officers developed probable cause to search the vehicle. During the search, officers discovered approximately 1,289 grams of Marijuana, 1,032 grams of Methamphetamine, 153 grams of Crack Cocaine, 108 grams of PCP, a 9mm handgun, and $2,051 dollars in multiple denominations that is consistent with illegal proceeds from the sale and distribution of illegal narcotics.
Taylor was arrested and transported to the Tyler County Jail charged with three (3) counts of Felony Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Felony Possession of Marijuana, Felony Unlawful Possession of a Firearm/Felon and Felony Money Laundering. Justice of the Peace set bonds totaling $850,000.00
