Joint Investigation Leads to Arrest for Tyler County Sheriff’s Office


Tyler County Sheriff’s Office Statement:


On August 18th, 2025, the Tyler County

Sheriff's Office, Tyler County District Attorney's Office, and the Texas Department of Public Safety executed a Search & Arrest Warrant at a residence on Highway 190, just East of Woodville. The search warrant stemmed from a joint organized crime/narcotics investigation between the state & local agencies.


On scene, officers arrested Chrisopher Tubb, age 52 of Woodville for Parole Violation/ Possession of Dangerous Drugs. During a search of the residence, officers discovered approximately 340 grams of Methamphetamine, approximately 3 ounces of Marijuana and Eight (8)Firearms that Tubb is prohibited from possessing due to being a convicted felon.


Tubb was transported to the Tyler County Jail charged with Felony Manufacture/ Delivery of a Controlled Substance, eight (8) Counts of Felony Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by Felon and Possession of Marijuana. Justice of the Peace Tina Self set bond at $875,000.00. Tubb currently remains in the Tyler County Jail.
