Obituary of Donna Marie Sims

March 8, 1953 - September 7, 2025

Donna Marie Sims, 72, of Colmesneil, Texas, passed away September 7, 2025.

Born in Monmouth, Illinois, to Charles and Donna Jean Turley, she lived in Colmesneil for many years. Donna loved her flowers and working as a florist. She also enjoyed sewing and baking, but her heart belonged to her family, especially her grandchildren, with whom she enjoyed making arts and crafts. Her love will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Donna was preceded in death by her father, Charles Edward Turley.

She is survived by her loving family, mother, Donna Jean Turley of Hamilton, Montana; daughters, Donna Jean Sullivan of Jasper Olivia Pierce and Leslie Smith; son, Jim Edward Sullivan and wife, Jennie of Colmesneil; sisters, Linda Ande and husband, Carl and Tammy Miner and husband, Ben; grandchildren, Mason Sullivan, Claira Allen, Lillian Allen, Aubrey Citrano and Johnathan Dubose; great-grandchildren, Cheyanne Wood, Prentice Wood, Waylon Wood, Claira Wood, Grayson Bryant, Madilynn Citrano and Colt Keene and other family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 1 pm at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Bubba Sheffield officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday from 12 pm to 1 pm at the funeral home.
