'Suspected' major narcotics distributor has been arrested -large amount of narcotics seized including fentanyl

Polk County, TX – A long-term criminal investigation has concluded and a major narcotics distributor has been arrested. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division, alongside the Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal worked side by side to get drugs off the streets.

Law Enforcement working together in an extensive investigation were able to develop enough evidence for sufficient probable cause to issue a search warrant as well as an arrest warrant for Charlie Joe King III.

During the search of King's residence, Deputies were able to locate a 'substantial' amount of illegal narcotics including:

Approximately one kilogram of cocaine

Crack cocaine

Methamphetamine

Pressed fentanyl pills

Pressed methamphetamine pills

Ten (10) pounds of synthetic marijuana (K2)

A large quantity of marijuana

According to the report, "The evidence indicated that King was actively manufacturing narcotics within his kitchen and storing various controlled substances throughout the residence, including areas easily accessible to his young child."

Officers also discovered and seized a number of firearms, some were confirmed to be stolen. Warrants for Unlawful Possession of Firearms will also be issued.

King's current charges are:

1. Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG 1 >400g (Cocaine)

2. Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG 2 or 2A >400g (Synthetic Marijuana/K2)

3. Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG 1 >4g <200g (Methamphetamine)

4. Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG 1 >4g <200g (Fentanyl)

5. Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG 1 >4g <200g (Methamphetamine)

6. Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG 1-B >4g <200g

7. Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance PG 1-B >4g <200g

8. Abandoning or Endangering a Child

Additional arrests and charges are expected.
