WOODVILLE, Texas — The Tyler County 4-H community gathered Friday evening for its Annual Awards Banquet, recognizing outstanding youth leaders and celebrating the lasting impact of 4-H in the lives of its members.
Held at the Tyler County Nutrition Center, the event was catered by J-Birds Dogwood Diner and featured remarks from local leaders, including Milton Powers,
who encouraged students to
“Work hard at everything you do, and continue on with 4-H because it will make a lasting impact in your life.”

The highlight of the evening was a heartfelt speech from Emma Talley, recipient of this year’s Gold Star Award — the highest honor given in county 4-H programs. In her speech, Talley shared how her experience in 4-H helped shape her into a stronger, more confident person.
