Tyler County Youth Workers to Place Green and Yellow Bows in Flood Solidarity

WOODVILLE, Texas — Tyler County Summer Youth Workers will be placing green and yellow bows around the county to show solidarity with families affected by the recent catastrophic flooding in Central Texas.

The green bows will honor the lives lost along the Guadalupe River during the flooding, while the yellow bows will specifically represent support for the family of Ella Cahill, the granddaughter of Marvin and Rose Powell of Woodville.

Organizers say the effort is intended as a visible symbol of the community’s compassion and unity with those facing tragedy.

“Thank you to Woodville Floral Designs for helping us show our support,” Tyler County Emergency Management Office said in a statement. They also encouraged residents to continue lifting those affected up in their prayers.

Flooding in Central Texas has displaced families, destroyed homes, and taken multiple lives, prompting relief efforts and gestures of support across the state.
