TYLER COUNTY – On Monday morning, the water system for the Whitetail Ridge subdivision failed, leaving residents without service for several hours. Water is expected to be restored by 1 p.m. Monday afternoon.
Though service is returning, a boil water notice will be in effect for the next 24 to 48 hours as a precaution.

Bottled water remains available at the Tyler County Emergency Management Office from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for affected residents who present a photo ID.
Officials will continue to monitor the situation and notify residents when the boil notice is lifted.
